Self portrait 2 Close Up
Another Posey shot of myself, I cropped into the picture and really pilled the contrast up whilst balancing it with the brightness. I then added a crosshatch filter.
All orginal photo's were colour

Self Portrait
When i was getting ready the other day, I just saw myself in the mirror and thought the lighting was fantastic (it wasn't my reflection, trust me i'm far from vein)

A Rare Photo
I have to blog this as it is a rare photo, not just that my Mum's feeding Elliot, but my Mum! As she generally ducks out of photos.
i'm glad I got a nice one of her and Elliot.

Winston Churchill
Then Elliot decided to let hell break loose.
My sister wanted me to take a picture when he rolls his lip, and this is the amusing shot (and you don't have to say Ahhhhhh!! evil people, it's for when his older, and we can all laugh at him)

Cheeky!
I thought I would show some progression of Elliot, since he is coming up to three months old now and weighing 13lbs.
Also it is a perfect opportunity to take some pictures with my new camera. The quality is so much better and lifelike.
Well here it goes, one of my favourite photo's. My sister got Elliot to do his cheeky little smile and I got it.

You've Got Me Banged To Rights
When we went past the House's of Parliament, the police started to give chase.
They pulled the boat over, took my camera away and arrested me for questioning.................
OK so that's a lie, but I have been getting so annoyed with my camera being slow to take a picture, that I am packing it away.
So this is the final picture from it, as I have gone out and bought a Canon 350D.
Hopefully much better pictures to come.

The London Eye
Looking at the bottom of the picture you can see how tilted the camera is, makes it look like a very 60's Batmanesque picture
Looking Back
This shot was taken from the stern, looking back down from where we had come. it's amazing how far down the Gherkin is and how visible it still is (plus many bends in the river)
Peekaboo!!
I thought this was an interesting shot of the London Eye looming out from the tops of the building.
Spot St Pauls
A thought I would blog this failure of a picture, I was trying to get St. Pauls between the building and the bridge, but I was having issues with my camera taking the shot (it nearly went swimming soon after), still I could crop it for a take on the millennium bridge.
The Hurlington
What a name for a boat ..... The Hurlington .... Lucky nobody did
I like this shot, the reflection of the sun on the water was beautiful, and more complexity was added by the boat creating the wake.

London's Burning
The sunset became a lovely golden colour, so I rushed to take some decent pictures of Tower Bridge. This was the best one (I even had to edited someones head cos they kept trying to get in the photo), all the other pictures were blurry (it's hard when your chugging towards the target)
AXIOM THAMES BOAT CRUISE
On Friday 21st July, my comapnies Sports and Social organised a Boat Cruise down the Thames. It was an oppurtunity to take some nice photo's, though I did become progessively worse, don't know why, i think it's something to do with alcohol.

GIRLS AND GUYS
Our last night in Cortona and the villa, since most of us made an effort, we decided to have a photo opportunity.
It was sad to say goodbye to such a beautiful place.

Fallen Centurion at the Gates of Elysium
A beta of the final image edited photo. There has been extensive building, crowd and modern wire/light removal. I do want to remove the railings but it's taking a long time (and the replacement looks repetative, I have started some in the first arch closest to the roman)
Hot Mate?
Although this shot needs framing more precisely, I thought it could be tweaked in photoshop to make an old style picture
Rome - The Tourist Trap
Although a very crowded and busy shot, this just shows the sheer scale of the Colleseum, I personally didn't think it was going to be that big, and what adds to the astonishment is that half of it is missing.
Where the sun always shines
A plaque on the side of the Colleseum, I purposely captured the sun glare, to show how bright and high the sun was out there.
Have a chair mate
outside the Colleseum, there are stalls galore, and I spotted these people dressed up, I though it made a comical picture (they must have been sweltering, as it was about 42 degrees)
Unexplored Arch
On the Saturday (the final day), Roffey and myself left the girls at the airport and ventured into Rome and the Colleseum.
The place is just full of archways and old bit's of wall, the Rome city wall that you have to drive through is 4000 years old, it really does make your jaw drop.
This picture is of an archway we never made it to, but I think the way that the path rises to it adds to the picture.

Waiting Around
I took this photo, while they were waiting for me to set up the camera, because they were unaware, the natural positions came to life. I must do more candid photography
Modern Art
In Florence I came across this modern art statue, which consisted on five of these women in different sizes. But I couldn't capture the women going down scale, so i took a picture of one, which I though was interesting in itself.
The New Renaissance
I bet Michelangelo's looking down and saying "I painted the Cisteen Chapel you Know!"
Hello There!
I just had to take this photo. The car reminded me of the corsa advert, where all the cars are playing hide and seek. this one just cheekily peeking around the corner.
The Main Piazza in Cortona
This is one of my better photomerged pictures. It gives a nice sense of scale of the main square.
It must take ages to fill the lake with this?
I just had to get this shot of roffey walking in to the lake. I'm not even sure what the pipe was for. To add character to the shot I tilted the camera
Opium Anyone?
Jules loves Poppies, so i decided to take a photo of them and capture the background in the distance to create a nice effect.

Duomo - Santa Maria Cathedrael
Shame about the Scaffolding, but a beautiful outlook across Florence from the parking spot towards the Duomo (I climbed on to the top part of the dome, up a knackering 464 steps in 44 degree centigrade temperatures)
Perseus
The statue of Perseus having just slayed the gorgon Medusa, it's a mighty impressive statue close up
Neptune
The fountain of Neptune in Florence, right next to the Ufizi art Gallery, that houses Botticelli's Birth of Venus, unfortunately the building looked incospicous and we didn't go in (I could kick myself because I especially wanted to see it)
The Church
Every church in Italy seemed to be called Santa Maria, and this one was no different. The house in view is the owners of the Villa we were staying at, the houses in the distance are leading to Cortona town i.e. up hill
Sunflowers
The Tuscan fields were full of sunflowers, unfortunately you can't just pull the car over, because somebody would come along and hit you. So i took this oppuruntity to take some that were on display outside a flower shop
Picture an Alleyway
The Cortona streets were full of small alleyways, but this was the most interesting
Butterfly
This unfortunate creature decided to go swimming with us, so we rescued it and waited for it's wings to dry, which allowed me to get a wonderfully detailed macro shot
